While the rest of the world are joying with the Christmas days, Vietnam was threaten by the most dangerous typhoon Tembin. Luckily, it was changing its way at last moment and not directly landing the southern Vietnam. People and crops are somehow being safe. Pepper market remains steadily lower than it was last week. In a separate development, India has applied the minimum CIF price at 500Rupees/kg against imported pepper from other origins to protect their pepper farmers. It would obviously impact and challenge Vietnam who usually exports 15k-20k tons to India. VPA is now holding a referendum from its members and calling for supports from the governmental levels.
