Vietnam: Up to end Feb 2018, Vietnam has exported 30,131 tons. Record for Mar expected around 25,000-27,000 tons. Major harvest during Mar/Apr (Dong Nai, Ba Ria- Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc and Central Highland) and some later picking up in May/Jun in Quang Tri. Market keeps weakening since more sales against purchase in general.

Up to mid Mar, approximate 70% of the Vietnam pepper area has been harvested for the crop 2018. Productivity is reportedly reducing 30%-40% in comparison with 2017 (newly cultivated areas from 2017 and afterwards were not good yields enough). VPA and top 25 pepper exporters of Vietnam had advised that farmers should moderate the sales of pepper, and should not massively sell out when market and prices are unfavourable.
 

Cambodia: crop and harvest more or less is similar to Vietnam which is forecasted a volume of approx 25,000 tons and majorly supply to nearby countries Vietnam, Thailand and China, etc.
 

Brazil: first crop and harvest is happening in Espirito during Feb-Jun and is said of a volume about 35,000 tons. Apparently, it is becoming one of the major competitor of Vietnamese market. The next crop would come in Sep/Oct in Para.
 

India: harvest is taking place with approx 70,000-80,000 tons thereabout which is quite a good crop. Consequently the MIP (minimum import price) gainst pepper from other origins has been imposed thus far. However, only buyers with advance license holders and for the oleoresin importers could relax. The EOU/SEZ buyers have still not been provided any relief.
 

Indonesia: crop and harvest will come in Jul. It was aslo supposed to be good but the unstable weather (heavy rains) might affect. So it is still early to say.
