There is no change from the pepper since last week but the trade trend is weak. Firm interest/bid at nearby could probably work. From Jan to Jul 2018 Vietnam has exported 153k tons of pepper against 146k tons same period 2017. With the stocks from Indonesia, Brazil, etc, it is said that pepper market would hardly bounce back. However, part of the farmers are finding they no longern making money from pepper and start to divert to other crop like avocado, grape fruit trees, durian, etc. Whereas some others are not able to invest further to maintain their pepper farms. There shall be a cut-down of pepper area in the next crop consequently. This will make the supply be corrected.
